Kim M. Dowd's Obituary
METHUEN – Kim M. (Donnelly) Dowd, 67 a lifelong resident of Methuen passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024 at her summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee with her loving family by her side.
Born and educated in Methuen, MA, Kim was a member of the last graduating class of Tenney High School. Kim was the oldest of two daughters of the late Frederick and Josephine Donnelly.
Kim met and married Frank, the love of her life, and they spent the next 43 years creating wonderful memories together with their two sons, grandchildren, extended family and many friends. Kim and Frank recently became snowbirds and spent cold New England days boating on the crystal waters of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Kim was an avid walker and found delight in cooking and venturing into many new recipes for her husband. She had a special knack for decorating and seeking out unique décor for her homes. Above all, Kim’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Kim leaves her loving husband, Frank Dowd, of Methuen; her 2 sons, Shaun Dowd of Salem, NH and Ryan Dowd of Methuen; her cherished grandchildren, Carter and Kylie; and her sister, Maureen Flynn, and her husband, John, of Methuen. Kim also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kim’s life with visiting hours on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA 01844. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA 01844. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
