Kevin John Murphy's Obituary
Kevin Murphy, 69, of Lawrence, passed away, Sunday, October 8th at the Kaplan Hospice House with his loving wife by his side.
Kevin was raised and educated in Melrose, MA. Following graduation, Kevin served in the Army during the Vietnam War where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. Kevin worked for the City of Melrose for 23 years until his declining health with Kidney disease forced him to retire at the age of 55. Kevin will be remembered for his love of gardening, his oil paintings and an avid modeler making cars, trucks, planes and ships.
Beloved husband of Rose Murphy (Misuraca). Loving father of Kristen Cole and her husband Kaliim. Cherished grandfather of Kaliisha and Aliiyah Cole. Loving son of the late Kathleen and Paul Murphy Sr. Dear brother of Suzanne Gray and her husband Mike of Halifax, MA, Barbara Aiello and her husband Vinny of St. James, NC, Brian Murphy and his wife Ritaellen of Melrose, MA and the late Paul Murphy Jr. and his wife Debbie. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
