Kathryn Scott-Blanchard's Obituary
Kathryn “Kathy” Scott-Blanchard, 73, of Methuen, passed away at Holy Family Hospital on August 7, 2020. Born in Lawrence on August 5, 1947 to the late Charles E. and Rita (Toomey) McRobbie Sr. She graduated from Tenney High School with the Class of 1965. A devout lifelong Catholic, Kathy was a communicant at Saint Monica’s Parish. As a selfless woman, who loved unconditionally, she was the beloved matriarch of her family. Kathy who loved to entertain, especially during the holidays enjoyed the many simple pleasures in life. She was a member of a close group of friends who met weekly to paint and share their love of art together. Kathy worked for many years as a payroll administrator for the Crest Collaborative.
Kathy is survived by her beloved husband with whom she shared 24 years of marriage, James J. Blanchard also of Methuen. She was the dear mother to her daughter Jessica Scott, also of Methuen, and her son Jacob Scott of Munich, Germany. Kathy was also the cherished stepmother to her three stepsons; Eric Blanchard of California, Jason Blanchard of East Bridgewater, MA, and Craig Blanchard of Methuen. She was the proud grandmother to Nasaih Cruz, Andrew Blanchard, Holland Scott, and Wyeth Scott. Kathy is also survived by three siblings; her sister Monica Charest of Hooksett, NH, her sister Mary Guilmette of Methuen and her brother Michael McRobbie of Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers.
Visitation for Kathy will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 4 – 7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment to be privately held.
