Kathleen Pacheco's Obituary
Kathleen L. (Moran) Pacheco, 80, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Boston Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John G. Pacheco.
Kitty, as she was called from a young age, was born in Lawrence on August 19, 1945, the daughter of the late John J. and Eugenie H. (Conroy) Moran. A graduate of North Andover High School, Class of 1963, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family. Once her children had completed high school, she worked part-time in customer service at Circuit City and Sears at the former Methuen Mall and Rockingham Mall.
Kitty found joy in life’s simpler pleasures. She was an enthusiastic collector of all things frog-related, delighting in the whimsical and charming. She enjoyed watching golf, having played the game in her younger years, and was a devoted college football fan. Saturdays often found her glued to the television, cheering on her favorite teams, and she cherished the annual tradition of attending a Boston College football game with her daughter, Patti. Above all, Kitty treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love.
She will be deeply missed by her four children: Richard Pacheco and his wife, Bridgette, of Methuen; John Pacheco and his wife, Jennifer, of Exeter, NH; Patricia Pacheco and her partner, Steve Francis, of Sandown, NH; and Brenda Pacheco and her partner, David Parello, of Amesbury, MA; her brother, John T. Moran of North Andover; her eight grandchildren, Gabriella, Alexandra, Brian, Jesse, Autumn, Allyson, Cassidy, and Luke Pacheco; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne Moran.
At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kitty’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org. Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA, is honored to serve the Pacheco family.
