Kathleen "Kathy" A. Murphy's Obituary
Kathleen “Kathy” A. Murphy, 55 of Methuen and formerly of Andover, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Lawrence General Hospital. Born in Portland, Maine on September 12, 1963, Kathy was the daughter of John and Bernice (Tibbetts) Murphy. She attended Andover High School graduating with the Class of 1981.
A simple paragraph cannot sum up a person’s life. In Kathy’s professional career she worked as a secretary for various legal firms. A funny, assertive, selfless woman who found the simple pleasures in life from preparing a meal for her family to enjoying time at her favorite restaurants, she enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her dog, Casey. Kathy who was a kind soul and a spiritual woman was known for her great ability of telling stories and passing her wisdom on to those who listened. She touched many lives in many different circles and will be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her son, Jared J. Murphy and his girlfriend, Alexis of Dracut; her brother, John J. Murphy, Jr. of East Bridgewater, MA; her niece, Jennifer Murphy of Westbrook, ME; and her nephew, Jack Murphy of West Roxbury, MA.
Visitation for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 4 – 7:30 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A brief funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. To honor Kathy’s wishes, interment will be private.
