Katherine A. Gallant's Obituary
Katherine A Gallant passed away on Saturday April 28th, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born in Methuen and is a graduate of Tenney High School, class of 1968. She worked many jobs throughout her life. She was a telephone operator for AT&T and also worked at many department stores, including Walmart in Methuen. Kathy enjoyed reading, writing, poetry, music and spending time with family, friends and her protective chihuahua, Tiny. Those who knew Kathy, know what a caring and thoughtful person she always was, along with her quirky sense of humor which remained intact even throughout her illness.
She leaves behind her loving husband Richard Gallant; daughters Jennifer Bari and her husband Alfred of Salem NH, and Alyssa Deming and her husband Andrew of Methuen; sons, James Buyck and his partner Dina Roman and Jonathan Buyck and his wife Candi, both of Methuen; granddaughters Victoria Buyck and Adrian Bari and her good friend of thirty years, Phyllis Faro of Methuen. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Roman and Elvira Griva, her sister Anita Faucher and several aunts and uncles.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Kathy’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 9 – 10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
