Julia Giron's Obituary
Julia (Rivas) Giron, age 85 of Methuen passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on March 3, 2023. Julia was born on January 5, 1938 in Jutiapa, Guatemala to the late Valentin Gonzalez and Juana Rivas. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially her homemade tortillas and tamales. Those family members, who survived Julia, will miss her Guatemalan cooking. Her pride was being able to help raise her two cherished grandchildren Juan and David.
Julia was the beloved wife of the late Braulio Giron. She was the devoted mother of Sheila Flores and her husband Walter, and Sandra Giron. Julia was the loving grandmother of Juan Flores and David Flores, and the loving great-grandmother of Victor Flores.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, 300 Haverhill St. Lawrence. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Giron and Flores Families.
