Judith "Judy" N. (Nowell) Camasso's Obituary
Judith N. (Nowell) Camasso, 82 of Andover, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lawrence on March 10, 1935, she was the daughter of Frederick N. and Barbara (Packard) Nowell. She graduated from Punchard High School in Andover and worked at Western Electric for 5 years and then as an administrative assistant in the Andover School System for 25 years until her retirement. Judy was a member of the North Andover Grange. She was also a Friend of Bill W. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, knitting, watching her grandsons’ baseball games, traveling to Maine, and playing Bingo, jigsaw puzzles, baking, and crosswords. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Judy will be deeply missed by her 4 children, Anthony Camasso and his wife, Tammy of Elizabeth, CO, Nina Weymouth and her husband, Stephen of West Gardiner, ME, Whitney Gosselin and her husband, Dan of Methuen, and David Camasso and his wife, Heidi of Methuen; 12 grandchildren, Derrick Camasso, Nathaniel Camasso, Peter Ayers, Kristopher Ayers, Hannah (Ayers) Byrne, Matthew Ayers, Geoffrey Gosselin, Andrew Gosselin, Ryan Gosselin, Cameron Camasso, Kyle Camasso, and Hayley Weymouth; 3 great grandchildren, Kylie Ayers, Madelyn Ayers, and Colin Ayers; 2 expected great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Frederick “Ted” Nowell, Jr. of North Andover, Diane Watson of Newburyport, Alan Nowell and his wife, Connie of Miami, FL, and Peter Nowell of Amesbury; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Wendy Camasso; her sister, Audrey Tarpy, and her brother, David Nowell.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Judy’s life at 10 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 AM. Inurnment will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover.
