Juan R. Ramos' Obituary
Juan R. Ramos, 78, of Methuen, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Born on June 7, 1947, in the mountains of Ciales, Puerto Rico, he was the beloved son of the late Silvestre Ramos and Herminia Otero. Juan was a charming and funny soul who got along with everyone. With an open heart, he shared whatever he had: a laugh, a story, or his last domino piece.
A true Puerto Rican through and through, proud of his roots, he deeply loved his culture and shone in domino tournaments. Juan later immigrated to the United States, first settling in New York before making Methuen his home.
Juan worked as a cook at Bertucci’s, where he took pride in his work. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, playing dominoes, and being quite the character. Known for his playful spirit, Juan always had a song to sing to one of his children and was the ultimate goof, bringing laughter and warmth to those around him.
Juan was predeceased by his parents, two siblings, and his beloved grandson, Jose.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Maria (Trinidad) Ramos; his adored children, Juan A. Ramos, Nilsa E. Ramos, Angelica M. Ramos, Mary T. Ramos, and Meraliz Ramos; and his cherished grandchildren, Havana, Ishmyle, Jaheim, Kyanna, Marcus, Eyzis, and Alejandro. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
