About ten years ago, I started my business on my own. Joyce was one of the very first customers I met during my first week of cold calling strangers. I remember being so nervous, and she gently said to me, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t bite.”
A year later, I flew to Pawtucket, and finally met Joyce and Barbara in person. They welcomed me into their home, and one evening they called me downstairs to watch the raccoons in the yard come eat cookies.
The warmth Joyce gave me is difficult to put into words. I hope she knew how much I cherished those memories.
