Joseph K. Andrawas' Obituary
Joseph K. Andrawas, 88, of Methuen, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 07, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton. He was born in Lawrence, MA, on September 26, 1932, the son of the late Kattar and Rose (Assid) Andrawas.
Raised and educated in Lawrence, he was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Joseph enrolled in the United States Army a few years upon graduating. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Corporal. After retiring from the service, Joseph continued to work in service to his community. He went on to work as a clerk for the government.
His most treasured moments were times spent with his family. Joseph enjoyed the simple things in life but mostly taking care of friends and family. He was an honest and gentle man.
He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Andrews; and sister-in-law, Rita Andrawas.
Joseph is survived by his brother, Raymond Andrawas of Lawrence; niece, Debra Andrawas of Lawrence; nephew, William Andrews and brother-in-law, Bob Andrews, both of Methuen. In addition, he also leaves his cousins and extended family.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 10:00 PM until 12:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours, beginning promptly at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Methuen.
