John Francis O'Neill's Obituary
Methuen – John Francis O’Neill, 75 of Methuen, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Lawrence General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen E. (Adamson) O’Neill, to whom she was married for 51 years.
John was born in Lawrence on February 26, 1945, the son of the late John and Cecille (Blais) O’Neill. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence (Class of ’63). He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a supervisor at Mass Electric until his retirement. John was a big sports enthusiast and basketball coach. He was also a devoted family man.
John will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathleen; 2 sons, Kevin O’Neill of Smyrna, GA and Frank O’Neill of New Market, NH; his sister, Maureen Mulcahy of Salisbury, MA; his niece, Erin Ratkevicius of Salisbury; and his nephew, Timothy Mulcahy of Merrimack, MA. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law, John “Smiley” Mulcahy.
