John (Jack) A. Driscoll's Obituary
John (Jack) A. Driscoll, 77, of Seabrook, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Jack was born on November 20, 1942 in Lawrence MA to the late William J. and Marguerite (Hickey) Driscoll. He was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Central Catholic High School. Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a retired firefighter with the Lawrence Fire Department, proudly serving for 35 years. Jack received numerous honors for his work, including the naming of March 22, 1983 as John A. Driscoll Day in Lawrence, MA.
Jack was a member of the Lawrence Fire Fighter Association Union Local 146. He was a member of the Relief’s Inn, where he always enjoyed a good game of 45s, and of the Elks Lodge #65 both in Lawrence, MA. Jack always had a book nearby and loved history, classic movies, lobsters, and steamers. He was a great teller of stories.
Jack is survived by his four children, Pamela Driscoll of Seabrook NH, Jeffrey Driscoll of Bellevue WA, Tiffany Bonanno and her husband William of Methuen MA, and Kathleen Driscoll of Nashua NH; his three grandchildren, Ava, Jonah, and Jackson; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. at the Kenneth Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Interment will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. Due to the current global pandemic, masks are required to attend calling hours, the funeral mass and interment, social distancing must also be observed.
