Joanne Marie Rader's Obituary
Joanne M. Rader, 72, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully in her home, on Friday October
10, 2025. Born In Everett, MA, she moved to Methuen in 1955 with her parents, Joseph and Marie
(Molloy) Rader. She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel and went on to graduate from Tenney
High School. She dedicated forty-four years as an employee at Raytheon while also being an Avon
Ambassador for over thirty years.
Joanne was a woman of many talents who found joy in the doing. Not only was she a member
of the Red Hat Society, she had a knack for 45's, bowling, ceramics, bingo and so much more.
She found a second home in Palm Village, Bradenton, Florida where she became a part of their
community and absolutely loved her time crafting, creating many friendships, and of course
playing shuffleboard. In her most recent years, when she was back home in Methuen, she took
pleasure in an array of activities at the local senior center. Joanne will be remembered as the
“Hostess with the mostest", giving her family a Thanksgiving Day that was full of love and filled
their cups.
As the Matriarch, Joanne was someone who always kept her family connected. She will be
greatly missed, but always in the hearts of her loving family-
Longtime, loving companion of thirty years, Stephen Windle of Methuen, brothers Joseph “Ted”
Rader, and his wife, Susan of Clearwater, Florida, Ken Rader and his wife, Carol of Salem, New
Hampshire, Jeff Rader and his wife, Ann of Methuen, cherished nieces, Courtney, Casey, Devin,
Jess, and nephew, Adam, Stephen’s children Shelly, Christine and her husband, Jeff, and
Stephen, along with 5 adored grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Morgan, Saige, and Hayden.
