Mrs. Joanne Mary (Martino) Boone's Obituary
Mrs. Joanne Mary (Martino) Boone, age 66, of Methuen passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 after a long battle with breast cancer. Joanne was born on March 6, 1952 in Melrose, and grew up in Tewksbury, MA. Joanne truly loved being the wife of Burton Boone for the past 20 years. They loved traveling together, spending time with the wonderful friends they have, gardening and raising animals on their farm in Florida where they spent the winter months. Joanne had a passion for cooking and was amazing at it. She enjoyed being the host and making sure everybody around her was happy. Some of Joanne’s other great pleasures were spending time with her family, including her children, grandchildren and siblings. In earlier years, Joanne enjoyed pistol competition and was a member at the Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club. This was something she loved doing alongside her father, a co-founder of the club.
Preceding her in death was her father, William Martino. Survivors are: her mother, Rose MacArthur of Townsend, her loving husband, Burton N. Boone of Starke, FL. Children: Lisa Centrella and her husband Gerard of North Reading, Laura Doucette and her husband Derek of Methuen. Step-children: Burton Boone Jr. and his wife Karen, Laurie Audette and her husband Michael, and Ronald Boone and his wife Jan, all from N.H. Siblings: Dennis Martino and his wife Sandy of Townsend, Mary Valdez and her husband Dave of CA, Susan Gardiner and her husband Robert of NH, Julie Danforth and her husband Ray of Pepperell. Sister-in-laws: Loreen Cannon and her husband Dick of FL, Frances Lazzar and her husband Brad of PA. Brother-in-law: Earl Boone and his wife Edwina of FL. Joanne also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
