Joan K. Castricone's Obituary
Joan K. (Turner) Castricone, age 90 of Andover, formerly of Salem, NH and formerly of Ocala, FL passed away peacefully on December 8, 2020. Joan was born in Methuen on June 22, 1930 to the late Edgar and Genevieve (McCluskey) Turner. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish of Salem, NH. Joan enjoyed baking, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her racehorse “Missy”. Joan and her late husband Peter owned and operated PJ’s Grocery Store on Main St. in Salem, NH.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Peter Castricone and the fiancé of the late William Beaton. She was the devoted mother of Kathryn Castricone and her partner Jeff, Joanne Armano and her husband Michael and Gen Marie Stys and her husband Kenneth. Joan was the dear sister of Mary Somma and the late Edgar Turner. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Thursday, November 10, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA 01844. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place following calling hours, beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish of Methuen, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Cemetery of North Andover. Due to the current global pandemic and government regulations, facial covers are required to attend calling hours, the funeral mass, and interment, social distancing must also be observed.
