My sincere condolences and prayers for the family for the loss of an amazing, kind and compassionate woman, a sister in Christ. Sister Joan is remembered as a wonderful teacher at Annunciation BVM Church, Frackville, PA. She taught my children Tracy, Frank, Angeline and Marie. My kids have grown children of their own, now, and they still joyfully remember her. She was a blessing to my family. We became friends and kept in touch even when we moved out of state. After her Silver Jubilee ( still have her card in my Bible.) I then loss touch, my letter, card was returned, undeliverable from Wilkes-Barre, PA. Lately, she has been in my thoughts and prayers. Praise be to God. Today, I searched the internet and found this obituary. Joan is in heaven's Choir, playing her folk guitar with the Angels, singing St Francis's song,
Make me a Channel of Your Peace, Glory and Praise to God, Jesus, Our Lord.

Joan was part of our family. She talked to my mother pretty much every day. When we were going through difficult times, she was always praying for us. Even in later years, we would always find a nice comment on Facebook about our family's events from Joan. She will be missed, but we are blessed for having her in our lives.

I feel so blessed to had known Joan, when her family moved to Rhine Street, she became my upstairs friend of 67 years. We share many activities together CYO, tennis, Sodality, Salisbury Beach, and swimming in our pool. We enjoyed many happy times together. She celebrated life with joy and love. I will miss her phone calls, a special way she kept in touch with everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with Dot, Mary, Joe and their family at this difficult time.
