Jeannette R. (Houle) Desrosiers' Obituary
Salem, NH – Jeannette R. (Houle) Desrosiers, 86 of Salem, NH, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Fernand Desrosiers.
Jeannette was born in Lowell on August 9, 1931, the daughter of Alphonse and Therese (Morrissette) Houle. She worked as a stitcher for William Barry on Canal Street in Lawrence and then worked for the Raytheon Company in Andover until her retirement. She was a former attendant at Mt. Carmel Church in Methuen, before its closing. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Methuen and of the Salem, Loudon and Hooksett Senior Citizens Centers. Jeannette enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, bowling, dancing, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She loved to travel and take cruises and she especially enjoyed taking monthly trips with the Senior Center to Foxwoods.
Jeannette will be deeply missed by her 5 children, Janine Caro and her husband, Robert of Michigan, Susan Nimmo and her husband, Kevin of Atkinson, NH, Paul Desrosiers and his wife, Joanne of Salem, NH, Linda Proctor of Derry, NH, and Lisa Audy and her husband, Daniel of Pelham, NH; her brother, Gerard Houle and his wife, Mary of Lowell; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandson, Eric Nimmo.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Jeannette’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 4 – 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 12 PM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH. Burial will follow at St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
