Jeannette L. Couture's Obituary
Jeannette L. (Morneau) Couture, age 92 of Lawrence passed away peacefully on September 29, 2019 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jeannette was born in Salem, MA on February 13, 1927 to the late Leon and Marie Morneau. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Lawrence, where she was a member of the 3rd order of Mary and enjoyed playing bingo. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Jeannette was the beloved wife of the late Roland J. Couture with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Claire M. Apkarian and her husband Mark, Diane M. Listro, Thomas J. Couture and his wife Roseann and the late Roger Couture Sr. Jeannette was the dear sister of Arthur Morneau, and Marie Castiglone and her husband Joseph. She was the loving grandmother of Lisa, Melissa, Melanie, Elizabeth, Roger Jr., Kaitlin, and Cameron. Jeannette is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jeannette’s family would like to thank the staff at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all their care and love shown to her during her residency.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen.
