Jean-Yves Potvin's Obituary
Jean-Yves Potvin, 75, of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Friday June 28, 2024, at the Lawrence General Hospital, with his loving family by his side.
Born in St. Rose, Canada, he was the son of the late Romeo and Anita (Michaud) Potvin.
Jean-Yves was a humble, devoted husband and father. He loved going for spontaneous drives to the mountains or the cities with his wife, exploring new gardens or hiking trails along the way. He spent the rest of his free time mastering his own wonderful garden as he proudly watched and admired his grandchildren play in it. A truly selfless man who made an impact on the people who have met him. He will be incredibly missed.
Jean-Yves will be incredibly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-one years, Carole (Roussel) Potvin of Lawrence, MA, daughter, Julie Potvin of North Andover, MA, son, Jeremy Potvin and his wife, Samantha of Derry, NH, siblings, France Mansur and her husband, Charles of Florida, Jacques Potvin of Montreal, Canada, Danielle Collum and her husband, Howard of South Carolina, Michel Potvin and his wife, Theresa of Salem, NH, and Nathalie Ouellette and her husband, Jedson of Derry, NH, grandchildren, Jackson, Riley, and Evangeline, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean-Yves was predeceased by his sister, Micheline Dupuis and his brother, Mario Potvin.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Jean-Yves life by gathering for his calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Wednesday July 3, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen.
