Jane Irene (Weir) Johnson's Obituary
Jane Irene (Weir) Johnson, 64, of Salem, NH, passed away on November 30, 2018, peacefully at home with her beloved husband by her side. Born in Methuen on December 17, 1953 to the late Elias W. and Claire L. (Potvin) Weir, she graduated from Salem High School with the Class of 1971. Believing in the value of a secondary education, Jane attended Franklin Pierce University graduating with a bachelor’s degree with the Class of 1991. A lifelong devout Catholic, she was a selfless woman who lived life to its fullest. Jane had a smile that would brighten the room, loved to laugh, and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed being an avid outdoors person, spending time with her family and cooking. Jane worked for many years as a financial analyst for the Haverhill Department of Education until her retirement. She touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished, and missed.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin M. Johnson of Salem, NH, with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage together. She is also survived by her four siblings; her brother, William Weir and his wife Francine of Salem, NH, her sister, Nancy Pierce and her husband Michael of Hampstead, NH, her brother, David Weir and his wife Sharon of Sandown, NH, and her sister Donna Woolfall and her husband David of Salisbury Beach, MA. Jane is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Visitation for Jane will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 4 – 7:30 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. To honor Jane’s wishes, interment will be private.
