James A. Therrien's Obituary
James “Jim” Therrien passed away unexpectedly last weekend at his home in Methuen at the age
of 64. Born and raised in Lawrence, he briefly lived in Haverhill before moving to Methuen 24
years ago.
Jim graduated from Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School, class of 1977,
where he was a standout athlete and Reggie quarterback. After a short stint with Holt and
Bugbee, Jim worked for the Internal Revenue Service, where he spent the past 33 years. He was
a sports enthusiast, devoted New England Patriots fan and enjoyed fantasy football. Jim was also
a music aficionado, and often impressed friends and family with his deep knowledge of classic
rock.
He was predeceased by his parents, Emilie and Romeo Therrien of Lawrence.
Most importantly, Jim was a devoted father and grandfather to his children, Cathy Fulgoni and
her husband, John of Methuen, MA, James Therrien of Haverhill, MA, Jennifer Therrien of
Lowell, MA,and Emily Therrien and her partner, James Dunn of Manchester, NH; and
grandchildren, Aishah, Caleb, Addalynn, and Leah. Jim will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Pauline Magoon and her husband, Loren of Lawrence, Doris Sullivan and her husband, Michael of
Southwick, MA, the late Roland Therrien and his wife, Lois of Greenville, NH, Theresa McCann
and her late husband, Richard of Methuen, Denise Lebel and her partner, Theresa Edmonds of
Methuen, Rosemarie Wolfenden and her husband, George of Methuen, John Therrien and his
wife, Deborah of Manchester, NH, Sandra Custeau and her husband, Albert of Manchester, NH,
Sheila Sylvester and her late husband, Charlie of Methuen, Michelle Lilly and her husband,
Tennis of Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Monday, November 14, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 15th at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Burial to follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
