James Paine's Obituary
James “Jimmy” Paine passed away on April 24, 2023, surrounded by family after a quick illness.
Jimmy was born on April 14, 1958 to Claire (Johnson) Paine and Walter “Jack” Paine and was brother to nine siblings. He was an engineer at Merrimack Paper in Lawrence, MA for many years and also worked siding homes. In his spare time, he loved to cook, play guitar and cheer on the New England Patriots. Jimmy also took great pleasure spending time with family, friends and being a caregiver to his brother Arthur “Tim” Paine. He and Tim would listen to classic country tunes while looking for a great classic movie to watch.
Jimmy is survived by his three sons, James, Branden, and Nicholas Paine, all of whom he loved very much, as well as his partner of many years, Josee Mathieu. He was also a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, James, Julianna, and Jack Paine. In addition, he leaves behind siblings, Kenneth Paine, Kathy Lavoie, Susan and Steve Sciuto, Mary Ellen and Peter Allain, Carolanne and Michael Laverriere, Diane and Leon Vitale, Thomas and Christine Paine and Nancy Paine, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jimmy is predeceased by his parents, his brother, Tim and his brother-in-law, Eli Lavoie.
