James "Jamie" J. Yameen's Obituary
James “Jamie” J. Yameen, 58, of Haverhill, passed away on December 2, 2017 surrounded by his devoted family at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Jamie was raised and educated in Andover, MA. He was born on June 22, 1959 to his hardworking parents. After graduating from Andover High School with the Class of 1977, he continued his education on the west coast and received his bachelor’s degree. A generous and selfless man, Jamie was the type of man who truly enjoyed helping others. He was a person of many talents and loved living life to its fullest. Jamie enjoyed snow skiing, he was a junior Olympian skier, and working with his hands. He was a devoted family man, outdoorsman, and loved camping at Herman Island. A lifelong Catholic, Jamie was known for his unwavering kindness, especially to children and animals. He worked for many years at OEMXS as a computer technician. Jamie touched many lives in many different circles, he will fondly be loved, cherished, and missed.
Jamie is survived by his beloved mother, Elizabeth (Danis) Yameen of Andover, MA. He is also survived by his long-time devoted companion of nearly 20 years, Amy Roberge of Haverhill, MA. Jamie is also the proud father to his son, Raymond Yameen and the cherished grandfather to his five grandchildren; River, Logan, Griffin, Jonathon and Carissa. He is also survived by his two siblings; his brother, Jody Yameen of Hamilton, MA, and his sister, Danyelle Yameen-Valler and her husband Scott Valler of Andover, MA. Jamie is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Jamie will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4 – 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett Street, Andover, MA 01810.
