Irmgard M Morano's Obituary
Irmgard M. Morano, 82, longtime resident of Andover, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2020 at home surrounded by her devoted family. She was born in Zellhausen, Germany on December 28, 1937 to the late Herman and Elizabeth (Kraft) Schuck. Irmgard met her husband, an American GI, and they were married on December 8, 1960, after his completion of his service, they settled in the US in 1964. As the beloved matriarch of her family, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Irmgard was a very passionate woman, who was truly selfless and often advocated for those who were less fortunate than herself.
Irmgard is survived by her loving husband, Nicholas Morano, with who she celebrated nearly sixty years of marriage together. She is also survived by her two daughters; Marion Herrick of Andover and Michelle Pinet & her husband John of Haverhill. Irmgard was the proud grandmother to John Dartnell & his wife Nina of Wakefield and Nicholas Pinet of Haverhill, she was also the great-grandmother to Giuliana Dartnell. Irmgard is also survived by her brothers-in-law John Murano & his wife Kathy of Georgia, and Silvio Morano of Chelmsford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers and two sisters.
To honor Irmgard’s wishes, all services will be privately held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
