Iris M. Castro's Obituary
Iris M. Castro, 42, of Roxbury, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 12, 2022, She was born on October 21, 1979 in Lawrence, MA to Christina Dominguez and Noel Castro.
She is survived by her parents, Christina Dominguez and Noel Castro; her beloved two children, Laurence and Irisabel Guzman of Lawrence; three cherished siblings, Wanda Diaz of Methuen, Edwin Rodriguez of Cape Cod, and Javier Rodriguez of Haverhill. She leaves behind extended family and friends.
Family is the one word that truly encompasses Iris. She was a loving and devoted Mother, daughter, and sister. Iris was also a wonderful mother. Leading by example, she taught her children about love, kindness, and respect by never speaking an unkind word about others.
Iris enjoyed living a simple life, but anyone who sat in her presence would tell you that there was always a life lesson to be learned there. It is through those lessons and tremendous love that Iris’s memory will live on in those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell Street in Methuen. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Castro Family.
