So. Lawrence, MA ? Irene M. (Buote) Somma, 87, died Thursday March 6, 2014 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Facility in Lawrence with her family by her side.
Irene was born in Lawrence March 6, 1927 the daughter of John and Celina (Maillet) Buote.
Mrs Somma worked as a teachers aid for 17 years in the Lawrence School System before her retirement.
She received her education in the Lawrence Schools.
Among her many special interests include; Bingo, Trips to Foxwoods, and Las Vegas. Most of all spending quality time with her family.
Survivors include her best friend and husband of 62 years; William H. Somma, Jr., one sister Edna Houde of Lawrence, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Irene was predeceased by their daughter daughter, Constance Somma.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Bellevue Cemetery of Lawrence.
Friends will be warmly received on Sunday from 2:00PM-6:00P at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cor Unum of Saint Patricks Church 118 South Broadway Lawrence, Ma. 01843.
