Henry H. Zakarian's Obituary
Methuen – Henry H. Zakarian, 96 of Methuen, passed on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. He was the beloved husband of the late Geanette (Spero) Zakarian.
Henry was born in Lawrence on March 22, 1922, the son of Harry and Alice (Label) Zakarian. He was educated in Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a sales supervisor at Bay State Gas Company for 30 years until his retirement in 1982. In his free time, Henry enjoyed bowling, playing pool, dancing and walking.
Henry will be deeply missed by his best friend and caregiver, Gigi McCormack of Methuen; his daughter, Kandice Zakarian of Milbrook, NY; his son, Glen Zakarian of Las Vegas, NV; his grandson, Jeff Collins; and his brother, Richard Zakarian and his wife, Roberta of Santa Cruz, CA. He is predeceased by his granddaughter, Dagney Collins.
Following cremation, family and friends will honor and celebrate Henry’s life by gathering for his calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM. His funeral service will take place on Monday at 5:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
