Bob De Masse
I knew Harry for his last six years and what stands out are his love of conversation, sense of humor and faith. Even as he fought medical setbacks, he lived each day the best he could. When I visited, he could enjoy discussing sports and politics and would take comfort in his faith, always participating in the church activities and reading the Bible. His faith and political beliefs were so consistent. I’ll always remenber his concern for those who would live past his days on earth. He will be an inspiration in that he was always interested in news and sports events, always great company. Sadly he was robbed of working more years at his favorite job, being able to walk outdoors. His love of music helped him get his voice back and I was lucky to enjoy many conversations with him. One little thing I did for him was bring the Celtics score summaries to him. He passed before two big Celtics games that would have made him very happy.
