Gerard "Gerry" Beausoleil's Obituary
Gerard “Gerry” Beausoleil of Haverhill passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the age of 80. He was the devoted husband of the late Marie (Walsh) Beausoleil, and the son of the late Ida and Lucien Beausoleil.
Gerry was born and raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge Latin High School and Boston University. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for two years, earning a Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Achievement for his service in Vietnam. When he returned home, he began a long career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and retired after more than 30 years as a manager in the Human Resources Division. During his time with the Commonwealth, he met the love of his life, Marie. They married in 1979 and shared 41 years together. Gerry was a kind and caring man who enjoyed family gatherings and sharing stories and milestone events with his nieces and nephews. A devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be deeply missed.
He leaves sister-in-law, Nancy Bethel and her husband, Richard of Peabody, MA; brother-in-law, Michael Walsh and his wife, Margaret of Andover, MA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Rene, and brother-in-law, William Walsh and his wife, Susan of Perry, Maine.
