George F. Avery's Obituary
George F. Avery, 93 of East Hampstead, NH, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. George was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie A. Avery.
George was born in Lenoir County, NC on August 26, 1929, the son of James Kenneth and Loise M. (Rousse) Avery. Following George’s extensive and admirable service in the U.S. Army, he was the owner and operator of Avery Building & Construction in Florida until his retirement. George enjoyed traveling, playing cards, working in his yard, tinkering with electronics and restoring salvaged vehicles. He was also something of an amateur meteorologist, always watching the weather forecast throughout the country.
George will be deeply missed by his 2 children, Glenda McGurn and her husband, Michael, of East Hampstead, NH and Don Haridat and his wife, Lok, of Grant, FL; his stepson, Bobby Beecher and his wife, Donna of Denver, CO; his brother, JK Avery, and his wife, Brenda, of Trenton, NC; his sister-in-law, Esta Bayless of Niwot, CO; 8 grandchildren, Lauren, Brittany, Kaila, Edward, Jessica, Edwin, Mallory, and Chris Beecher; 10 great grandchildren, Arianna, Eliot, Rylie, Nora, Adeline, Theo, Oliviah, Miles, Madi, Maddox; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Doris, Audrey, Paul, and Glenn.
At the request of the family, all services will be private.
