George A. Marquis' Obituary
George A. Marquis, 100 and 7 months, of Hollis NH passed away March 14th at the Crestwood Center in Milford NH. He was born in Methuen son of the late Mathilda (Therrien) and Denis Marquis. George was raised and educated in Methuen and later enlisted in the United States Army during World War II and was involved with the occupation of Korea. George worked at Western Electric for 27 years prior to retiring and was a parishioner of St Monica s Church in Methuen before moving to Hollis NH. and the Resurrection Church in Nashua, NH.
George predeceased by his wife Winifred his son Richard G. Marquis. He is survived by Brian J. Marquis and his wife Anne of Hollis NH , Daughter In-Law Kathleen Marquis of Methuen. Also 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday March 17th
at 11 AM at St Monica s Church in Methuen with burial to follow at St Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Lawrence. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Marquis family through this difficult time.
