Genevieve A. DeGagne's Obituary
Genevieve A. (Baltuskonis) DeGagne, 94 of Methuen, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre in Methuen. She was the beloved wife of Paul L. DeGagne, to whom she was married for 59 years.
Born in Methuen on April 20, 1924, she was the daughter of Peter and Mary (Sakowicz) Baltuskonis. She graduated from the Edward F. Searles High School, class of 1942 and then received her diploma in secretarial studies from the McIntosh Business School. Genevieve loved gardening, being outdoors, traveling with her husband, and cooking. She especially enjoyed cooking pork pies at Christmas time for the family. She was always involved in her children’s school field trips and events and was always there for her family when they needed her.
Genevieve will be deeply missed by her husband, Paul; her daughter, Jeanne DiFruscia and her husband, Jerry of Methuen; her son, David DeGagne and his wife, Lynn of Nashua; her sister-in-law, Edith Miner and her husband, Donald of Framingham; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Genevieve’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 9 - 10 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Monday at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
