Gaston R. Tardif's Obituary
Gaston Real Tardif, 77, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, with his loving wife of 55 years by his side. Born on December 6, 1948, in Saint-Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada, Gaston was the son of the late Jeanne (Cyr) Tardif and Albert Tardif, and was raised by Everett Tardif.
Gaston was the true definition of a hardworking man. He spent many long days working in construction and at Malden Mills, dedicating himself to providing for his family. He was an avid sports fan who loved cheering on the Montreal Canadians and the New York Yankees, but his favorite team was always the one his children or grandchildren were on. He devoted countless hours behind the wheel, getting them to basketball and hockey games long before electronic GPS existed.
Though he often appeared tough on the outside, those who knew him best understood the kindness, generosity, and love that filled his heart. His wife, children, and grandchildren were always his greatest priority, and he took immense pride in caring for and supporting them.
Gaston passed peacefully on Sunday evening with his loving family by his side. His strength, dedication, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always loved.
Gaston was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Nancy Tardif.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Noelline Tardif; his two sons, Shawn Tardif and his wife, Stacey Tardif, of Bradford, Massachusetts, and Keith Tardif and his wife, Dorothy Tardif, of Salem, New Hampshire. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kayla Torres, Amanda Torres, Rory Tardif, Mathieu Tardif, Camille Tardif, Alexandre Tardif, and Sophia Tardif. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Aliyah Uribe and David Uribe.
Rest in peace, Gaston. Your legacy of hard work, devotion, and love will live in the hearts of all who knew you.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." - Colossians 3:23
