My condolences on your loss.
Uncle Gabe was my Godfather when I was baptized in the Armenian Orthodox Church. He also had a twin brother, Harry, (Hartachun) who passed away at an age too young. I have many fond memories of Uncle Gabe. He traveled quite a bit. When he came home he always had gifts for my brother Johnny and I. One time, he brought us matching Sombrero`s. He brought home chocolate covered ants, and I tried them. I think it was the chocolate that made them good. He also cooked calves brains. He had quite a good recipe for them. I remember that for breakfast, he would ask my Nana to make a half an egg. I don`t know how she managed it, but she did, and then she seasoned it with Curry powder. Uncle Gabe also gave us free passes to the movie theater he was working in. Uncle Varney, ( the youngest boy) worked with him in the Projection booth. Both of them were very generous. He was an avid numismatist, and stamp collector. I never had the pleasure of viewing his collections, but, knowing him, I`m sure they were extraordinary, as he was an extraordinary human being. I will miss knowing you are on this earth, Uncle. I can only take comfort knowing that you are with God and at peace. I love you Uncle, and I will never ever forget you.
God blessed him with a very long life. He will be missed very much.
