Frederick P. Andersen Sr.'s Obituary
Frederick Peter Andersen, Sr., 90, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.
Born in Woburn, MA on March 7, 1933, Fred was the son of the late Frederick Peter and Lillian M. (McIntyre) Andersen. Fred was an International Sales Representative who traveled all around the world until his retirement from Henkel Corporation.
Fred was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and taking long car rides while listening to Elvis. He was a great conversationist, who enjoyed meeting new people. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children.
Beyond the role of a father, Fred was a mentor, a confidant, and a true friend to his children. His selflessness knew no bounds, as he tirelessly worked to provide not only for their material needs but also for their emotional and spiritual well-being.
In the face of life's challenges, Fred remained a pillar of strength for his family, teaching them resilience, compassion, and the value of embracing each other's differences. His wisdom, garnered through years of experience, was generously shared, leaving an impact on their lives forever.
Fred will be deeply missed by his four children, Donna Andersen of Haverhill, Christine Schultz and her husband, Neil of Methuen, Tracy Stark and her husband, Robert of Methuen, Frederick Andersen, Jr. of Andover; and step son Alfred Rousseau of Florida, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Per family’s request, a private ceremony will be held graveside.
The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Andersen family.
