Francis L. Murray's Obituary
Francis L. Murray, 85 of Methuen, passed away on December 25, 2018 at Cedar View Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Methuen. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan A. (Skaff) Murray, to whom he was married for 52 years.
Born in Methuen on June 13, 1933, he was the son of the David and Gladys (Hannon) Murray. Frank was raised and educated in Methuen. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Dow Company in Dracut until his retirement. In his free time, Frank enjoyed working in his garden and taking trips to the beach with his wife, Joan.
Frank will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law, Claire Mellor and her husband, David of Methuen; his niece, Donna Welch and her husband, Shaun of Salem, NH; his nephew, James Mellor and his wife, Alicia of Salem, NH; his great nieces and nephews, Caitlin and her husband, Adam, David, Stephen, and Sarah; and his great-great nephews, Mason, Daniel, and Braden.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Frank’s life by gathering for his calling hours on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 10-11 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
