Florence M. Raidy's Obituary
Florence M. Raidy, age 85 of Methuen passed away on November 29, 2021. Florence was born in Lawrence on July 9, 1936 to the late John and Florence (Dobeck) Welch. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1954 and attended nursing school. For many years, Florence worked in banking and having retired as an assistant vice president at Fleet Bank in Chelmsford. Florence was a former communicant of St. Monica’s Parish. She enjoyed gardening, antique hunting, and being surrounded by family during the holidays.
Florence was the beloved wife of Edward Raidy who was her high school sweetheart and they were married on November 24, 1955. She was the devoted mother of Debbie Nolan and her husband Jay, and Geri Silveira. Florence was loving grandmother of Ryan Nolan and his wife Raquel, Zach Silveira, and Ian Silveira.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Lawrence.
