Fern Palazzo's Obituary
METHUEN ? Fernande "Fern" Rita (Morency) Palazzo, 85, died peacefully Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence on July 21, 1925, to Emile and Germaine (Petit) Morency, she was a graduate of Ware High School, Ware, Mass., with the class of 1943. She was a longtime employee with the Internal Revenue Service. She attended St. Monica's Church in Methuen, enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Frank M. Palazzo, Sr. Children and significant others: daughter, Mary and husband Shinichi Hisano; sons, Frank Jr. and wife Minerva (Morales), David and fiancee Christina Xifaras, and John and wife Joan (McGuire).
She was the world's sweetest Memere to grandchildren, Megan, Krystle, Antonio, Brandon, Rosa, Javier, Eddy, Jason, Marissa, Kim, Lillian, Jonathan, Julianne, Lauren, Samantha and Cassondra. She is also survived by her sister, Jacqueline McGurren; many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Her quick wit and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lazarus House Ministries, P.O. Box 408, Lawrence, MA 01842. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Monica's Church, Methuen, with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, also in Methuen.
