Evelyn Y. (Paris) Bergeron's Obituary
Evelyn Y. (Paris) Bergeron, 88 of Methuen, passed away in the early evening hours of Thursday, December 12, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Bergeron.
Born in Methuen on March 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (Houle) Paris. Raised in Methuen, she attended Searles High School. Evelyn was employed by Alcatel-Lucent in North Andover working in packing and retired in 1996. In her spare time she loved making quilts for her children and grandchildren, she also loved to crochet, making many afghans for family members. Evelyn enjoyed vacationing in Aruba, which she did for many years. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were her most precious gift.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her three children, Randy and his wife Priscilla of Pembroke, NH, Tom and his wife Cathy of Methuen, MA, Debbie and her husband Bob Borrelli of Methuen, with whom she lived. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren Paul Emond of Methuen, John Bergeron of Dover, NH, Kala Bergeron of Methuen, Kandi Fabri of Forest, VA and Edward Poirier of Nashville, TN, and her seven great-grandchildren, Kathrine, Aaliyah, Kira, Lacey, Charles (Watts), Rosie and Ellie. Evelyn also leaves her longtime companion Fred Grasso. Evelyn was predeceased by her son Marc. Evelyn also leaves her brother Maurice from Summerfield, FL and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Merrimack Valley Hospice.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, 11 A.M. at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA, under the direction of Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home. At Evelyn’s request, there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund Foundation, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
