Ernest B. Caron Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ernest B. Caron, 81 of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol A. (Heymans) Caron. Ernest was born in Methuen on September 12, 1934 to the late Alfred A. Caron Sr. and Mary (Blott) Caron. Ernest attended Methuen schools and graduated from Tenney High School. He then served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard Reserve. Ernest worked as a machine setter with Lucent Technologies, Inc. for 35 years until his retirement in 1988. In his free time, he loved watching sports, including the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, and also loved camping. Ernest will be deeply missed by his 2 sons, Douglas Caron and his wife, Patricia of Carver, MA and Kenneth Caron and his wife, Debra of Atkinson, NH; his daughter, Kathleen DePlanche of Sydenham, Ontario, Canada; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his brother, John Caron of Salem, NH; his sister, Mary Desrochers of Lawrence; his brother-in-law, Frank Heymans and his wife, Rose of Methuen; several nieces and nephews; his long-time partner, Barbara Shean of Marblehead, MA and her extended family; and his dog, Pepper. Family and friends will honor and celebrate Ernest?s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 9-11 AM. His funeral service will take place on Friday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
