I am sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Ernie sounds like a wonderful soul and he looks so charming in the picture! What an honor to be at Merrimack college for all those years.
I am thinking of you and your family during this time of sadness. No matter the age, it is always sad to lose a parent or spouse, but I am glad you were able to spend so much time with your father during his final years.

Thank you so much for allowing me the honor of being a pall bearer and one of the readers. Ernie was a very positive influence on me as a student, a colleague, and a friend. It was a privilege to play a small role in the celebration of his wonderful life. Without calling any attention to himself, he patiently taught thousands of students and generously mentored so many of our young faculty members over the years. His laughter frequently filled the office space that we shared for five years and he often spoke with pride about his two daughters. I am blessed to have known such a good man.
