Elizabeth Jane Martin's Obituary
Elizabeth Jane Martin, age 87 of Methuen passed away on January 26, 2021 due to COVID-19. Jane was born in North Andover on October 20, 1933 to the late James and Anna (Witzgall) Doran. She was a former communicant of St. Monica’s Parish. Jane was a retiree of New England Telephone. She was a former member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. In her younger years, Jane enjoyed spending summers at Cobbets Pond. Jane also enjoyed trips to Aruba and Foxwoods. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jane was the beloved wife of the late Robert Martin. She was the devoted mother of Suzanne Lahey and her husband Dave, and Stephanie Martin. Jane was the dear sister of Claire Rischer, Patricia Vynorious, Danial Doran, Marylou Faucher, the late Ann Seubert, and the late James Doran. She was the loving grandmother of Emily, and Cameron. Jane is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Jane’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
