Elizabeth M. (Clarke) Marsan's Obituary
Elizabeth M. (Clarke) Marsan, of Methuen, passed quietly on Saturday January 20, 2024, at Prescott House in North Andover, where they treated her as if she was their own mother. Her friend Pat Deeb was by her side for much of the past few years and cared for her deeply.
Born in Lawrence, MA on May 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Rexford and Lillian (Drew) Clarke. Elizabeth grew up in Methuen and graduated from Tenney High School.
She was the loving wife of the late Richard Marsan to whom she was married for 66 years and together they had 6 children.
Elizabeth loved to sing and dance and was a member of the church choir for years. Together with Richard they loved to travel the country in their Flxible Bus.
She was loved and cherished by many including her children:
Richard and wife, Robin, Arlene and her husband, Russell, Raymond and his wife, Sharon, Ronald and his wife, Dianne, Roger and wife, Christina, and Michelle as well as 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday January 25th, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA 01844. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 11:00 at St. Theresa Church of Our Lady of Good Council Parish, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, MA 01844. Entombment to follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence.
Those who wish to donate in lieu of flowers in Elizabeth's name may do so to the Methuen Senior Center or St. Theresa Church of Our Lady of Good Council Parish.
