Elaine Chamberlain's Obituary
Elaine (Barbin) Chamberlain, 90 of Barefoot Bay, FL and formerly of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Chamberlain, to whom she was married for 63 years.
Elaine was born in Lawrence, MA on November 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Simeon and Marilda (LaFond) Barbin. She retired from Western Electric/AT&T after 30 years. Upon retiring, she moved to Sebastian, FL with her husband, Edward, in 1992. She was an active senior in retirement and enjoyed golfing, bowling, darts, and playing cards with her friends and family.
Elaine was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Steven Chamberlain of Barefoot Bay, FL and Neal and his wife, Gail (Gillis) Chamberlain, of Englewood, FL; and grandmother of Jillian Chamberlain of Los Angeles, CA and Kristen Chamberlain of San Diego, CA. Elaine was the dear and beloved sister of Pauline (Barbin) Foley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Lillian Barbin, and 4 brothers, Robert, George, Roger, and Normand Barbin.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Elaine’s life by gathering for her calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Her graveside service will take place on Monday at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett Street, Andover, MA. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the cemetery. There will be no procession from the funeral home.
