Eileen Francis (Paolino) Whitaker's Obituary
Eileen Francis (Paolino) Whitaker, 67, longtime resident of Manchester, passed away on August 21, 2020 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. Born in Lawrence, MA on April 21, 1953 to the late Anthony F. and Dorothy G. (Weston) Paolino, she graduated from Tenney High School with the Class of 1971. Eileen worked for many years as an assembler for Analog Devices in Wilmington. A lifelong Catholic, she believed deeply in her faith and was affectionately loved by many of those who knew her. As the beloved matriarch of her family, Eileen, who was very assertive and opinionated, often enjoyed the many simple pleasures in life; crocheting, dancing, watching Boston sports and making a meal for family. She touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Eileen is survived by her three loving children; her son Leland “Lee” Whitaker, her son Robert “Bob” Whitaker and her daughter Leatha Potter & her fiancé Joel Houtman, all of Manchester. She was the proud grandmother to Avery Whitaker and Joel Houtman Jr. Eileen was the dear sister to Beatrice Hemond, Ruth Parisi both of California, Pamela Melia of Texas, Donna Siebert of Colorado, Patricia DeRepentigny of Lowell, MA and her brother Joseph Paolino of Derry, New Hampshire. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Whitaker, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation for Eileen will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2020 from 4 – 7:30 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 11 AM at the Saint Mary’s – Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence, MA. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the funeral home, and social distancing must be followed. If you have a health or other underlying concern, please do not attend. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Eileen’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. The Kenneth H.
