Edna A. (Daigle) Croteau's Obituary
Edna A. (Daigle) Croteau, 97, of Methuen, MA, passed away surrounded by her loving son's on Monday June 10, 2024, at the Prescott House in North Andover, MA. She was the widow of Robert P. Croteau.
Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Regina (Heon) Daigle. Edna was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, in Lawrence, MA, Class of 1944.
Edna was a long time member at the Rainbow Club, at St. Theresa’s, where she was a regular at Tuesday 45’s and bingo. She was an avid bowler and loved to travel. Most of all she cherished her time with her grandchildren.
Edna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, J. Robert Croteau and his wife, Sharon of Methuen, MA, Gerard Croteau and his wife, Cynthia of Methuen, MA, daughter-in-law, Chantal Croteau of Derry, NH, grandchildren, Michael, Alicia, Jacqueline, Matthew, Richard, greatgrandchildren, Adelyn, Violet, Ella, Ivy, Jillian, Charles, Benjamin, Landon, Madison, Shea, Colt, and Jose. Edna is predeceased by her son, Kevin Croteau, granddaughter, Crystal, brothers, Albert Daigle, and Jean-Marie Daigle. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Emma Dumont, and many nieces and nephews.
The Croteau family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Prescott House, for the love and care she received while a resident there. And also, thank you to her roommate of seven years, Agnes.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Monday June 17, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the next morning, June 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM, in St. Theresa Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, MA. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett St., Andover, MA.
