I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Yankowsky. My family lived next door to him on Mary Lou Street back in the 50's. Whenever he was out in the yard, I would be over there, talking to him, asking questions, and probably being a pest. My parents would tell me not to bother him, but he never seemed to mind my chatter. About 15 or so years ago, my mom, sister, and i were in the neighborhood and stopped by for a visit. He was just as I had remembered him. Mr Yankowsky was a kind, sweet man with a sense of humor. I've thought of him many times over the years. He will be missed.

I wish to express my deep condolences at Yank's passing. I am Bob and Jerry Litwinovich's daughter and Yank and Helen were my godparents. I have many fond memories of visiting with Yank after church on Sunday mornings. I still have a lovely vase that Yank made for me and will go out and buy some flowers for it and reminisce over all the wonderful times we had together. He was such a wonderful man.
