Dorothy N. Reid's Obituary
Dorothy N. (Nesbitt) Reid, a resident of North Eastham, MA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024. She now joins her late, beloved husband, Roger Stuart Reid, in eternal peace.
Born on May 22, 1935, in Hartford, CT, Dorothy was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Emma (Hines) Nesbitt and her step-mother, Gertrude Nesbitt. She was very proud of her time working for the Neighborhood Watch in Eastham, MA, leaving an indelible mark on the community. Dorothy's green thumb brought joy to many through her love for gardening, and her heart overflowed with happiness when surrounded by her beloved family.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her two children, Steven Reid and his wife, Patricia, of Methuen, MA and Deborah Czorny and her husband, John, of North Dartmouth, MA; her brother, Richard Nesbitt and his wife, Debbie, of Rocky Hill, CT; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Michael Czorny; her great grandson, Michael Justin Hall; and several nieces.
Dorothy’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you and appreciation to all of the staff at Windsor Place of Wilmington for the care and compassion they provided during Dorothy’s stay. The family would also like to thank the hospice team at Pathways Healthcare for their exceptional support during her final days.
In honoring Dorothy's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private interment will be held to celebrate her life at a future date.
