Doris Theresa Michaud's Obituary
Doris Theresa Michaud, age 89 of Lawrence passed away on October 27, 2019 at Prescott House. Doris was born in Methuen on August 4, 1930 to the late Adelard and Blanche (Jerome) Verrette. She was an assembler for Parlex in Methuen for many years. Doris was a former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Augustine’s Chapel. She would regularly walk to St. Augustine’s School on Friday’s to read to the students and always volunteered at the Church’s Christmas Fair. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her time spent with all her pets.
Doris was beloved wife of the late Alcide Michaud with whom she shared 36 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Denny Michaud and his wife Brenda, Doreen Hilse and her late husband Ken, and Don Michaud. Doris was the loving grandmother of Melanie, Matthew, Michelle, Bobbi-Lyn, Crystal, Robert, and Jennifer. She was the cherished great grandmother of Logan, Malia, Lani. The family extends their sincerest thanks to the staff at the Prescott House Memory Care Unit for their care and compassion.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Augustine’s Chapel, 128 Ames St. Lawrence. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Lawrence. Memorial contributions in Doris’ memory may be made to the Prescott House Memory Care Resident Fund, 140 Prescott St. North Andover, MA 01845.
